In a move that highlights the growing race to build infrastructure for autonomous artificial intelligence, Meta Platforms has acquired Moltbook, a relatively new social network designed specifically for AI agents to interact with each other. The acquisition brings Moltbook founders Matt Schlicht and Ben Parr into Meta’s AI research division, Meta Superintelligence Labs.
