For Matthew Phan, a Canadian resident, that is not the case either. This vendor was arrested recently and now has to forfeit 281 Bitcoin associated with his nefarious activities. This does not equal his entire Bitcoin portfolio, as he gets to keep 7 out of 288 BTC.
